UNHCR operational highlights

• Completion of the orderly return operation of 33,819 former Burundian refugees living in Mtabila

• Assistance to 1,478 newly arrived DRC asylum seekers during the last quarter of 2012, planning and preparation for potential larger influxes from the DRC, including construction of two transit centers and a forth refugee camp.

• The report on persons at risk of statelessness was presented to the Government of Burundi for further dialogue on durable solutions for them.
