HIGHLIGHTS
According to OCHA, over 900,000 people are currently displaced in North Kivu; an estimated 500,000 of these have been displaced since the FARDC-M23 conflict began in April.
The measles vaccination campaign in camps in and around Goma started on 10/12, targeting 70,000 children from 6 months to 15 years. This is the first phase of the larger campaign that will cover 1,196,000 children in the 7 Health zones hosting displaced persons.
An average of 2500 boys and 3000 girls per day are reached through Child Friendly Space activities implemented by UNICEF partners in Lac Vert and Bulengo IDP sites (mobile CFS) and in the IDPs camps of Mugunga I (mobile CFS) and III (fixed CFS).
